Djibouti, 4/6/2023 – Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) and Djibouti’s Enterprise Dawaleh Construction (EDC) have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti, solidifying their commitment to a strategic collaboration.

This partnership aims to foster cooperation in the construction industry across Ethiopia, Djibouti, and other Central & East African countries. The agreement highlights the importance of regional alliances and homegrown companies in driving major construction initiatives across Africa.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti and ECWC’s CEO, Yonas Ayalew (Eng.) emphasizing the shared vision of enhancing regional integration and mutual prosperity.

ECWC is already making significant contributions in Djibouti with its ongoing construction project for the Galamo and Moloud 35 KM road within the Molude-Dikhil-Galamo road project. The corporation specializes in various construction projects, including highways, bridges, airfields, dams, irrigation systems, water supplies, buildings, and manufacturing of building supplies.

This strategic collaboration between ECWC and Djibouti’s EDC strengthens the bond between Ethiopia and Djibouti while driving the construction industry in Central & East Africa forward. The partnership demonstrates a commitment to regional integration, sustainable development, and economic progress.
