The Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti hosted a team from the Plural Civil Society of COMESA PLUS Countries to discuss Promoting Inter-African Partnership through Economic Forums.
The significance of the Inter-African Partnership and the necessity for the governments of the COMESA nations to work toward significant economic cooperation and integration was emphasized by Beneyam Ephrem Beterwork, a diplomat at the Ethiopian Embassy during the meeting.
In line with the objectives of COMESA, he noted, member nations need to promote African commodities as part of the Promotion of Made in Africa Products and Trade with Ethiopia B2B campaign. This Economic Forum will allow traders and manufacturing companies to showcase their products in order to increase their visibility and build partnerships between sellers and buyers.
The Focal Points of Plural Civil Society of COMESA Countries PLUS stated their commitment to organize Economic Forums to promote trade between these countries.
